Tenders for regional public transport bus services have opened today for five contracted areas, with a key goal of providing sustainable services for regional communities through to 2035.

This is the second phase of the procurement process, with the tender to remain open until Tuesday 23 January 2024. This will provide tenderers time to develop their submissions, as 4 of the new contracts are expected to commence on 1 November 2024, and the last on 1 January 2027.
There will be no cuts to bus routes and frequencies, but all potential service providers will need to comply with Disability Discrimination Act guidelines to ensure public transport services are accessible for everyone in the community.
